Our stone industry is truly unique. It combines history, tradition, creativity, industry, engineering, and project management all under one roof. How many industries can make the same claim?
From Ancient Egypt to the Roman Empire and it continues to this day, stone was and still is pivotal for those empires, states, institutions and VIPs in their quest to demonstrate power, luxury and creativity!
But also simply to make someone feel good about their living space or office or any other environment.
The exhibits at the British Museum are a testimony to this fact. The Red Granite and Limestone used by the Ancient Egyptians come from quarries that are still operational 1000’s of years later and enjoyed today by projects worldwide.
